THE HISTORY OF AT&T
Follow the Fascinating Ups and Downs of this iconic American company.
Presented by Bruce Cortez, who recently retired from Bell/AT&T Labs. He worked in various roles in transport technologies, and for the last 20 years was a director in the organization that integrated fiber optics and cross-connect technologies into the AT&T Network.
American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) was founded as Bell Telephone Company by Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Watson and Gardiner Greene Hubbard after Bell's patenting of the telephone in 1875. AT&T has long been one of the most respected names in corporate America. Many Fortune 100 companies rely on the telecom giant for vital communications infrastructure and it is a leading provider of wireless phone service for consumers, including 5G.
