What one day air battle in World War II produced the most medals and heavy US casualties of any air battle during the war?

Steve Schuh and Jack McNicholas will take us on this tragic bombing mission over Europe that

actually produced five Medal of Honor recipients, fifty six Distinguished Service Medals and

other awards, but the mission was considered one of the worst losses suffered by

the US Army Air Corps during the war.
