The Shalom Club breakfast speaker this year is Susan Addelston. She has appeared a number of times at our community, always with great reviews. Her presentation is entitled "The Elite Eight." In the 200-year history of the Supreme Court only eight Justices have been Jewish. How did they get there? Who were they? What was their influence on the court? Why are they important? Ms. Addelston will answer these questions in addition to taking questions from the attendees.
The breakfast will be catered and the food will be on trays and served at your table. It will include tuna salad, egg salad, whitefish salad, herring in cream sauce, Nova lox, cream cheese, and trays with bagels, bialys, tomatoes, and onions. Orange juice, pastries, and coffee will also be available.
The cost for this event is $16.00 per person. If you wish to reserve a table of ten, or part of a table, submit the official table form in an envelope with all of the checks (made out to FSML Shalom Club) before June 3rd. One, two, three, or four members who wish to attend do not have to submit a table form. After June 3rd acceptance will be on a first come, first serve basis. If we are oversold on June 3rd, a management supervised lottery will be held. If space is available after June 3rd, friends and family may attend at a cost of $18 pp.
Ms. Addelston requests that all attendees bring a box/bag/cans of cat/dog food to be donated to the Jackson Pet Food Pantry to be used for shelter animals. They will be collected at the door.
