| Description: |  The Shalom Club will show the DVD entitled "Rocktopia" on Friday night, June 7, 2019 at 7:30 PM.
This DVD shows a live concert recorded at the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest. The concert
celebrates a fusion of classical music, classic rock, and opera, with original arrangements drawing from
the most popular classic rock songs and the finest composers, including Elton John, Mozart, Journey, Strauss,
Aerosmith, Heart, Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Copland, The Who, and many more. Roctopia brings together
the Orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera, six world-class vocalists, a five-piece rock band, the Hungarian
State Opera Chorus, and the Jazz and More Choir. The performances were so fantastic that the show was
brought to Broadway where it sold out for a 10 week limited run. I personally saw the Broadway show
and I have seen the DVD a number of times with great enjoyment each time.
This event is open to all Shalom Club members free of charge on June 7, 2019 at 7:30 PM.
