Brooklyn Club Trip to Coney Island

ANOTHER BROOKLYN CLUB TRIP TO OUR HOMELAND

Our last trip was to DUMBO (down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass), and we walked the Brooklyn Bridge. We have now planned our 8th trip to Brooklyn. This year's trip will be on Wednesday, July 24th to Coney Island. Because of all the possible sites to visit, we have limited our trip to just this area.

We are fortunate to once again have Art Zuckerman, a well-renowned tour guide, as our trip's docent. Art has his own radio show and has been seen on the travel and history channels.

Stops on our Coney Island trip

  • Ballpark Gallery Museum which contains Brooklyn Dodgers memorabilia up to 1957 (before they moved to LA).

  • Coney Island Museum where you will see the history of Coney Island including Steeplechase Park, Raven Hall's swimming pool, etc.

  • Private tour of the Coney Island Brewery as well as samples of their beer

  • Special live show called The Coney Island Circus Side Show that will really bring you back to the past of Coney Island

  • World-renowned Coney Island Aquarium

  • Optional: Walk the boardwalk

  • maybe go on a ride or two at Luna Park (maybe???).

  • Our bus will ride through Brighton Beach where you will feel as if you are actually in Russia!

 

Wherepossible, some of these stops will be docent-led tours. Art, of course, will continue his narration as we continue from stop to stop on the bus.

 

Lunch will be on your own. Here are two suggestions. Nathan's, of course, and across the street is Grimaldi's pizza. Grimaldi's is rated as the #1 pizza establishment in Brooklyn. Nathan's, on the other hand, speaks for itself.

Snack and water provided on bus.

Bus Returns: approx. 6:30 P.M.

Cost: $65 All entrance fees, docents, and gratuities included

Deposit in Brooklyn Club mailbox June 6-8

If oversold, a management-supervised lottery will be held.
