A NEW AND EXCITING EVENT
The Women’s Association of Metedeconk Lakes
is Sponsoring a trip to Ellis Island and/or Liberty Island
For Women’s Association Members and spouses/S.O’s Only!
On Wednesday. April 22, 2020
Bus will arrive at the Gazebo at 7:45 am and will depart promptly at 8:00 am.
AT 9:45 am, we will arrive at Liberty State Park where we will go through a security checkpoint prior to boarding the ferry for Ellis Island OR the Statue of Liberty for a self-guided tour. If time permits, you will be able to visit both venues. Please note that there will be a 10 minute walk from the bus to the Ferry dock.
While on Liberty Island, be sure to visit the NEW Statute of Liberty Museum. You will have universal access to this museum which will give you a meaningful experience and deeper understanding of the Statue of Liberty’s history. The trip DOES NOT include admission to the Statue of Liberty Crown.
The cost for this trip is $65 per person and sign up will begin on February 24, 2020.
Please make your check payable to FSML Women’s Association and put 4/22/20 trip in the memo line.
Package includes bus transportation to and from Ferry in Jersey City which will take you to Ellis Island and/or Liberty Island with audio included for your self-guided tour. Lunch is on your own on Ellis Island.
We will depart on the ferry at approximately 2:00 pm and we will head for a meal at Harold’s Deli in Woodbridge (meal cost will be on your own). We will leave Harold’s around 5:00 pm and arrive back at Metedeconk at approximately 6:00 pm.
IMPORTANT: IN ORDER TO ATTEND THIS TRIP, YOU MUST SUBMIT TO MARGE A SIGNED “WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY” FORM WHICH CAN BE FOUND ON THE ROTARY RACK JUST OUTSIDE OF MARGE’S OFFICE. YOU ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO SIGN AND SUBMIT THIS FORM ONCE A YEAR, SO IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED ONE AND GIVEN IT TO MARGE, YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO ON ALL TRIPS SCHEDULED FOR THIS YEAR (2020).
If you have not yet paid your Women’s Association dues for 2020, you may do so at this time by putting a check for $10.00 made payable to FSML and place it in the Women’s Association mailbox in the lobby. Any single man may join the W.A. to take advantage of our trips by placing a $5.00 check in the W.A. mailbox in the lobby.

If this trip is oversold, a waiting list will be established. No refunds will be given unless the event is canceled by the Women’s Association, the bus company, or the venue.
