WINE CLUB
The first Wine Tasting of our new Club year will be THURSDAY, September 20th in the Clubhouse Ballroom. We will be featuring wines from Portugal, and Committee Members Joyce DeSiena and Pat Hybbeneth were the wine selectors for the 4 White Wines, 4 Red Wines and the Porto we will sample on the 20th. Our speaker for the evening, Eric Lopez, from the Winebow Group, will be on hand to discuss the various wines and give us some insider info on the vineyards. The wines we will be tasting are all from grapes indigenous to Portugal and not typically found elsewhere. You will find them wonderfully enjoyable! They range in price from $8.99 per bottle to $21.99 per bottle. We will also have the typical assortment of nibbles for your tasting pleasure.
The cost for this tasting will be $20 per person, and we will follow our "standard" set-up. Tables will be arranged for 8 places each and there is NO assigned seating, so you are free to "mix and mingle" with other members as you wish. Please do remember to bring your wine glasses with you for this tasting. Wine tastes so much better in a glass than a plastic cup! First year members - you will receive your glasses at the first tasting you attend, so please be sure to have the means to take them home with you - they are breakable! Please plan to enter from the Lobby through the Veranda to pickup your name badges and raffle ticket before entering the Ballroom. Doors open at 6:45PM.
Please make your checks payable to FSML - Wine Club with the notation "September Tasting" in the memo line. Place them in the Wine Club Lockbox #27 in the Clubhouse Lobby no later than Friday the 14th please. This ensures we have enough seating for everyone and enough of our "tasty morsels" prepared and available for all present.
