CAPE COD, MARTHA'S VINEYARD AND NANTUCKET September 23-27, 2018 Explore Cape Cod on this fabulous 5 day tour. Arrive in Hyannis, and visit the Kennedy Memorial, and see St. Francis Xavier church in Hyannis. Check into the Holiday Inn, Hyannis, before enjoying your first New England dinner. Day 2, take a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Enjoy the painted gingerbread cottages, and the Tabernacle of Oak Bluffs. Continue to Edgartown, with many quaint shops, and learn of its whaling history. Travel along the beach where JAWS was filmed. Boats, lighthouses, and more, are yours to enjoy. Day 3, cruise to Nantucket Island, and view the Kennedy Compound from the ship. Lunch on your own before boarding the sightseeing bus for a tour of the Island, and then return to Nantucket for browsing and shopping. A stop will be made for dinner before returning to the hotel. Day 4, depart for a tour of Old Cape Cod to see Nauset Lighthouse, the Marconi Radio Station site, and the high cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. Then on to the tip of Cape Cod , Provincetown. Browse the town and visit the docks where giant tuna are brought in. Then, you are in for a treat, when you board the ship for a thrilling whale watch cruise. The naturalist on board will explain whale behavior and migration patterns, as you observe the “gentle giants” from just a few feet away. You will enjoy a traditional New England Lobster dinner before you return to the hotel. Day 5, a stop will be made, on the way home, at Mystic Seaport, CT.
