1. Wednesday, July 21 @ 2PM in the Sports Lounge ;
“ And the Crowd goes wild “ Relive the most thrilling sports events Ever Broadcast on Radio. Hear actual moments from a) June 22, 1938. Joe Louis Knocks out Max Schmelling b) Bobby Thomson Hits the “ shot heard round the world” c) June 9 1973. Secretariat wins Triple crown and many others. The announcers went wild and you can be there and share the memories.
2. Monday, July 26 @ 2PM in the Sports Lounge;
“ Old time Radio COMEDY favorites’. Portions of actual broadcasts of The Eddie Cantor Show, The Great Gildersleeve, Amos and Andy, The Life of Riley and others will bring back memories of when we would gather around a box, with family and friends , and listen and be taken to new worlds.
Come to either program or both and relive the excitement of RADIO Broadcasts from days ago.
Larry Rosendorf will provide some background before each session and leave time for participants to share some of their favorite memories .
