NOVEMBER 1ST THROUGH DECEMBER 1ST
HOLIDAY SEASON IS COMING!
TIME FOR BRANDEIS GIFT CARD COLLECTION
We are the Community Service Committee of the Brandeis Harmony Chapter at Four Seasons at Metedeconk. Please help us to make the holidays brighter for those in need. We are collecting gift cards for families facing hardships, which will then be distributed by the Jackson Food Pantry.
If you would like to help, here’s how to do so. Please purchase a gift card from Target, Walmart, or Kohls. The committee would be grateful for donations in any amount; however, it is requested that all gift cards be in the denomination of $25 or less. This will make it easier for the director of the food pantry to equally distribute the cards.
1. Attach the receipt for the gift card so we will know the amount when distributing them to the individuals and families.
2. Bring your gift card(s) to one of the following collectors listed below.
3. Please call or email so we know you are coming. If there is no answer, leave a message on the cell. We will check the phone messages frequently. A bag will be outside our front doors to receive the cards.
4. We are collecting from November 1st through December 1st.

FSML SHALOM CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
On Monday, Nov 7th, 2022 , THE SHALOM CLUB will have the distinct honor of hosting FOUR IDF (ISRAEL DEFENSE FORCE) soldiers who will be sharing what it is like to be on the front lines!
This event will take place in the Ballroom at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Howard Gases, Director of the New Jersey Chapter of FIDF (Friends of IDF) will join us to help us gain a better perspective of what FDIF is all about with a short 10-minute video.
In addition, there will be a one-hour panel with our guest soldiers who will share their firsthand experiences with stories that you could not read in any newspaper or hear on any news feed! We will also make time for your questions and you may even send them in advance when you RSVP.
This program is FREE to SHALOM CLUB MEMBERS ONLY and will include light refreshments.

The Shalom Club Presents “The Uncle Floyd Show”
This show will take place at 8:00 on Friday, November 11, 2022
Uncle Floyd is the funniest comedian we have ever had at FSML. He is
returning for an encore after his first appearance here more than nine
years ago. Uncle Floyd Vivino has done many things in his long career in
show business: he had a TV show for 24 years, and a radio show for 26
years. Today Floyd works primarily as a stand-up comedian and he is as
funny as anyone out there. I guarantee you will laugh.
After Uncle Floyd completes his act, we will show the DVD entitled
“Neil Diamond: “Hot August Night.” It was recorded live at the Greek
Theatre in Los Angeles in August, 2012. Featured songs include
“September Morn, “Soolamon,” Kentucky Woman,” and many more of
his greatest hits.
The cost for this show is just $15 per person. If you wish to attend,
place your check, made out to FSML Shalom Club, in the Shalom drawer
in the lobby from October 13 th to October 27th. Nowhere can you see a
live show, with a featured performer, for this price.
If we are not sold out by October 27 th , family and friends may attend at
a cost of $17 per person. Nonmember residents who pay the $17 can
join the Shalom Club for an additional $3 and become a member for all
of 2023. We have many exciting shows and presentations planned for
next year. Applications will be available at the sign-in desk at the show.
Present members can renew their membership for 2023 for $5.00. If we
are oversold a management supervised lottery will be held.
