This intermediate level class is a workshop for you to have help creating a project of your choice. Is there a sweater pattern you have been eyeing but are nervous about some of the stitches or skills noted in the pattern? Is there a baby arriving in your family or a grandchild going off to college and you want to do something special? This workshop is the space to help you through whatever pattern you pick. Our first session will be for selecting patterns that you like and are comfortable with and the appropriate yarns. Each subsequent session will be a workshop to guide you through the steps in your project. Sessions are spaced two weeks apart to allow time to work on each stage of your project. Special Strides is a 28 year-old non-profit organization servicing people with
disabilities throughout their lifespan, with the partnership of a horse and the
natural environment. Join us for a tour of the 200-acre Congress Hill Farm in
Monroe to witness the impact that horses translate to people to enable strength,
awareness, organization, recovery and friendship. Learn about horse behavior
and the role they play in helping people. We will have a chance to meet the
Special Strides herd! Dress for a mess and wear comfortable walking shoes as much of the farm is not
paved. There is an all-terrain vehicle for transport if needed. Spouses and significant others are welcome.
Transportation is on your own.
