Wine Tasting

Greetings All!
 
Our first wine tasting is SOLD OUT!  This means that our tables will be set for 8 to 10 people each.  Those of you who have previously signed up as a party of 6 or less will have additional folks at your table.  It is very exciting to have so much interest in the Wine Club!  For those of you whom have asked about joining – we will have our  “normal” membership sign up in August.  You will have the whole month of August to sign up for the Wine Club.  Membership costs $10 per person per year. More details will follow in August.  The first tasting of the new Club year will be in September.
 
We will run this tasting similarly to our usual set-up.  Everyone will enter through the Veranda to pick up their name tags, raffle ticket and table assignments, and then proceed into the Ballroom. Again, please remember – this tasting will be a bit different vis-à-vis the food on the table. Everything will be individually wrapped and you may bring your own “nibbles” if you wish.  DO remember to bring your wine glasses – either the Club’s if you are a current member or some from your home if not.  We will have plastic glasses for those who forget to bring their own glasses.  However -  Wine does taste so much better in a glass than in a plastic cup!!
 
We are sampling 6 wines on the 15th  -  3  White wines and 3 Red wines.  The wines are from Australia, Spain, California and Oregon and range in price from $12.99 to $29.99 per bottle. Please be sure to save your raffle ticket for our evening’s drawings.
 
Tommy Mitchell will be. presiding over the various wines – and the new owner has continued our discount of 15% for orders placed from the wines we taste. The store on County Line Road is now Home Wines and Spirits.

Join us for an informal discussion of the recent Oscar, Golden Globe and Directors Guild Awards of the films that  were winners and nominees.
 
Join in the discussion or just listen.  
 
Meet at the FSML Gazebo on Friday , June 18 at Noon.  Bring a sandwich and a drink on your own if you wish. Also a folding chair if you would be more comfortable.
 
Larry and Jane Rosendorf will host the discussion.  You can look up the nominees and winners on the internet .
In this meeting we will  discuss the full length feature films;  eg.  Nomadland, The Father, Chicago 7, Borat and others.
Even if you have seen only a few come and listen to the discussion.
 
In future sessions we can discuss TV streamed shows like Shtissel, Srugim, and others and also award winning documentaries and short subject films.

Broadway Rhythms Meeting

Broadway Rhythms was born of an idea that Priscilla Baker and some of her friends had as a performance group which would entertain the community once a year. As time went on, BR performed 12 shows and other events such as Senior Prom and Cocacobana Night. We had large audiences and we all had fun.
But times have changed. Broadway Rhythms would like to announce that we are broadening our horizons to include workshops for actors, dancers, musicians, singers, artists, etc. This will be a monthly gathering of people who like to act, sing, dance, play music and have fun with improvisation, karaoke singing, live music, dancing and all forms of drama and comedy with no rehearsals needed and performances for the club and family and friends. Acting coaching provided, music provided and scripts provided with no memorization necessary. Just have fun! 
If you want to participate in our performance you can, and if you don't want to you can be a part of the presentation team. 
 
So if you like this idea, please join our family of encouraging and supportive all stars. We'd love to have you!
