Kutsher’s Country Club was the last surviving Jewish resort in the Catskills. It was the birth place of American stand-up comedy, an NBA All-Star tradition, and all-inclusive resorts. Among the famous names that played and entertained there are Wilt Chamberlain, Red Auerbach, Freddie Roman and Andy Kaufman. Marvel at the abundance of kosher feasts where ordering two main dishes was a normal thing to do. There was also the non-stop whirl of recreational activities. If you were a guest at the hotel, this film will bring back many memories.

Brandeis will be holding a community wide food collection for the Jackson Food Pantry on Saturday, August 27th from 9 - 11 am.
The collection will be by the Gazebo in the clubhouse parking lot (cars will have trunks open).
Please donate “new, unopened, non perishable” items.
PLASTIC BAGS are also being collected if you happen to still have any stashed away and do not want. Please recycle your bags with the Jackson Food Pantry who use for bagging orders. (You can always drop off donations on Saturday mornings from 10-12 noon at the food pantry on Don Connor Blvd In Jackson).
ITEMS NEEDED:
Dry Pasta, jars/cans red tomato sauce, box cereals (kids/adults), Mac/cheese boxes, pb & jelly - grape/strawberry, cans tuna or chicken, juice boxes; can green beans, carrots, peas, boxed dry potato flakes, can chicken or vegetable soups, fruit cups/applesauce.
